To ensure the good performance of the fingerprint reader, it should be cleaned from time to time. For this, proceed as follows:
First, pull the power cable out from the bottom edge of the device
Use ethanol or isopropanol with a concentration of at least 70%. You can also use a regular glass cleaner (such as Mayer or Clin)
Spray the liquid on a soft material (such as an eyeglass cleaning cloth) or a cotton pad
Gently wipe the reader until the surface is clean
Plug the power cable back into the device
Repeat this process as needed! If you have a device, for example, in production, where there is a lot of dirt or dust - you should clean the reader of the device more often 😉
What not to do:
Do not spray the cleaning agent directly on the reader
Do not use too much liquid on the reader
Do not rub the reader with hard materials such as paper
