Use the Axapta integration to export working hours from Begin and import them into Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta).

Configure export fields

Before generating exports:

  • Ensure each employee has an Export code configured in their employee profile. The code must match the employee identifier used in Axapta.

  • Confirm that the payroll period configured in Begin matches the payroll period used in Axapta.

To configure the integration:

  1. Go to Integrations.

  2. Open Axapta.

  3. Open the Setup tab.

  4. Select the hour types you want to include in exports.

  5. Enter the corresponding Axapta export code for each selected hour type.

  6. Save your changes.

Export hours

  1. Open the Export tab.

  2. Select the period you want to export.

  3. Choose a data source:

    • Hybrid – combines scheduled and real hours.

    • Real hours – uses worked hours based on attendance.

    • Scheduled hours – uses hours from the schedule.

  4. (Optional) Click Filter to export data for specific employees, locations, departments, or objects.

  5. Click Generate Export.

  6. Download the generated CSV file.

  7. Import the file into Axapta using its standard import process.

Export history

After generating an export, it is automatically added to the export history list.

For each export, you can view:

  • Export status

  • Export period

  • Data source used

  • Number of records

  • User who generated the export

  • Applied filters

You can also download previously generated export files from the history list.

Troubleshooting
