Begin supports two export options:
Taavi Hours – exports working hours and absences per employee.
Taavi Object Hours – exports working hours per employee and object, allowing hours to be allocated to projects, sites, or cost centres.
Before exporting hours
Before generating exports:
Ensure each employee has an Export code configured in their employee profile. The code must match the employee code used in Taavi.
If you use Taavi Object Hours, ensure each object has an Export code that matches the corresponding object or project code in Taavi.
Configure the absence export codes in the Absence tab.
Configure export fields
Go to Integrations.
Open Taavi Hours.
Select either Taavi Hours or Taavi Object Hours.
Open the Setup tab.
Select the hour and absence types you want to include in exports.
Enter the corresponding Taavi export code for each selected type.
Save Setup.
Export hours
Open the Export tab.
Select the period you want to export.
Choose a data source:
Hybrid – combines scheduled and real hours.
Real hours – uses worked hours based on attendance.
Scheduled hours – uses hours from the schedule.
(Optional) Click Filter to export data for specific employees, locations, departments, or objects.
Click Generate Export.
Download the generated CSV file.
Import the file into Taavi using its standard import process.
Taavi Hours vs. Taavi Object Hours
Taavi Hours
Use Taavi Hours if you need to export:
Working hours
Absences
Employee totals
Taavi Object Hours
Use Taavi Object Hours if you need hours to be allocated across different projects, sites, stores, or cost centres.
This option includes object information in the export, allowing Taavi to assign hours to the correct project or cost centre.
Note: Absence exports are not supported in Taavi Object Hours.
Export history
After generating an export, it is automatically added to the export history list.
For each export, you can view:
Export status
Export period
Data source used
Number of records
User who generated the export
Applied filters
You can also download previously generated export files from the history list.
Troubleshooting
Employee missing from export
Make sure the employee has an Export code configured in their employee profile.
Object hours are not split correctly
Verify that each object has an Export code configured.
Missing rows in the export
Rows with zero values may not be included in the export. Review your export configuration if expected rows are missing.
