Merit csv. file export
Begin allows you to generate a CSV file containing working hours, which can then be imported into Merit Aktiva.
Before you start
Before generating exports:
Make sure the integration is enabled.
Ensure each employee has an Export code in their profile that matches the employee code used in Merit Aktiva.
Configure export fields
Go to Integrations.
Open Merit Aktiva.
Turn on Enabled.
Open the Setup tab.
Configure the hour types and export codes in the Setup tab.
Select the hour types you want to include in exports.
Enter the corresponding Merit export code for each selected hour type.
Save your changes.
Export hours
Open the Export tab.
Select the period you want to export.
Choose a data source:
Hybrid – combines scheduled and real hours.
Real hours – uses worked hours based on attendance.
Scheduled hours – uses hours from the schedule.
(Optional) Click Filter to export data for specific employees, locations, departments, or objects.
Click Generate Export.
Download the generated CSV file.
Import the file into Merit Aktiva.
Export history
All generated exports are saved in the export history list.
For each export, you can view:
Export status
Export period
Data source used
Number of records
User who generated the export
Applied filters
You can also download previously generated export files from the history list.
Merit API export
Merit Palk allows you to send hours and absence data from Begin to Merit Palk and sync employee information from Merit Palk back to Begin.
Connect Merit Palk
Before you can start syncing data, you need to connect your Merit Palk account.
Generate an API ID and API Key in Merit Palk.
Go to Integrations in Begin.
Open Merit Aktiva and select Merit Palk.
Enter the API credentials and save them.
When the connection is successful, the Credentials are configured message is displayed.
Configure sync options
Open the Setup tab and enable the syncs you want to use.
Salary / Hours Export
Enable Salary / Hours Export to send worked hours entries to Merit Palk.
Configure which hour types should be exported and map them to the corresponding Merit Palk salary types.
Absences Export
Enable Absences Export to send vacation, sick leave, and other absences to Merit Palk.
Map each absence type in Begin to the corresponding absence type in Merit Palk.
Note: Only full-day absences are synced. Hour-based absences are not supported by Merit Palk.
Employee Sync
Enable Employee Sync to update employee information in Begin based on data from Merit Palk. Employees are matched using their personal code.
Note: Employee Sync only updates existing employees. It does not create new employees in Begin.
Configure automatic syncing
You can enable automatic syncing using the Sync Schedule section.
Enable the schedule toggle.
Select how often the sync should run.
Choose which data source should be used for salary exports.
Save your changes.
You can also run syncs manually at any time from the Sync tab.
Troubleshooting
Authentication error
Verify that the API ID and API Key are correct and belong to the correct Merit Palk company.
Employee not synced
Make sure the employee's personal code in Begin matches the personal code in Merit Palk.
Absence not synced
Only full-day absences can be synced to Merit Palk. Hour-based absences are automatically skipped.
