Employees can submit time-off requests directly from the Begin mobile app. The process is similar to the web portal.
How to submit a request from the app
Open the Begin app on your phone.
Navigate to the Requests section.
Tap New request.
Select the absence type (e.g., Vacation, Sick leave).
Set the start date and end date.
Choose whether it is a full working day request or set specific start time and end time for partial-day absences.
If available, select the payment type — either "Before vacation" or "With payslip".
Add a comment if needed.
Attach any supporting files if the absence type allows or requires it (e.g., a doctor's note).
Tap Submit.
Checking your balance before submitting
When you select an absence type that has an accrual policy, the form shows your current balance. This helps you verify you have enough remaining days or hours before submitting.
After submitting
Your request enters Pending status. Your manager or admin will review and approve or reject it. You will receive a notification when the status changes.
Auto-approval
Some absence types may be configured with auto-approval. If the absence type has auto-approve enabled and your request dates are entirely in the future, the request is automatically approved without waiting for manual review.
Forwarding
Forwarding a request to a specific manager is available when a manager or admin edits an existing request. It is not available during the initial submission by the employee.
