Before employees can use a fingerprint reader, their fingerprints or RFID cards must be registered in the device. This article explains how to enroll employees. This feature is available to Admins.
How to link a fingerprint or RFID card to an employee
Go to Employees and open the employee's profile.
Navigate to the Identifiers tab.
Identifiers are registered directly on the physical device and sync automatically to Begin.
Choose the identifier type: Fingerprint or RFID card.
Follow the on-screen instructions to register the fingerprint or scan the RFID card.
Save the identifier.
How to register fingerprints directly on the device
On the fingerprint reader, enter the admin/registration mode.
Select the employee from the device display.
Have the employee place their finger on the scanner multiple times as prompted.
The device confirms successful registration.
How to assign all identifiers to devices
If you have multiple fingerprint readers, you need to sync the registered fingerprints to all devices:
Go to Devices in the left sidebar.
Select the option to download fingerprints to all devices.
Wait for the sync to complete.
This ensures employees can use any reader in your organization.
