Begin allows employees to take photos from the mobile app to document work at a site. Photos are linked to the work object and visible to admins and managers in the web portal. This feature must be enabled by your admin.
Requirements
The photo feature must be enabled in Settings by an admin (under Settings → Mobile App).
You must have the latest version of the Begin Time app installed.
You must select an object when starting your work time — the photo option only appears when an object is selected.
How to take a photo
Start your work time and select an object.
Tap the Photo option.
Choose to take a photo with the camera or upload from album.
If taking a photo, review it and tap Use photo (or Retake for a new one).
Optionally add markings or annotations to the image (several colors are available).
Tap Save in the top-right corner.
Add a comment and file name if desired.
Tap Send.
Where do photos go?
All photos are stored in the Gallery of the corresponding object. Admins and managers can view them at Objects (sidebar) → select the object → Gallery tab. Photos can be sorted by name, author, date, or comment. They can also be downloaded or deleted from the gallery view.
How to see if a photo was added
On the timesheet, a camera icon appears in the "Photo" column for any shift where a photo was uploaded. Clicking the camera icon opens the gallery for that object.
