Pause (Automatic Break)

Written by Merilin Peetris

The Pause feature allows the system to automatically deduct a break from working time.

This helps prevent errors if employees forget to register their break manually.

To configure:

  1. Click on Settings from the left-hand menu.

  2. Click on Pause.

  3. Adjust the settings.

  4. Click Save changes.

Break duration (hours)

Enter the length of the break that should be deducted from working time.

Example:
If you enter 00:30, the system deducts a 30-minute break.

When the break should be deducted

Define after how many hours of continuous work the break is applied.

Example:

If the break is set to be deducted after 05:30:

  • If an employee works 6 hours, the full 30-minute break is deducted.

  • If an employee works 5 hours and 42 minutes, only 12 minutes are deducted (the time exceeding 5:30).

Apply break once or multiple times per Shift

Choose whether the Pause should be deducted:

  • Only once per Shift, or

  • Multiple times, depending on the length of the Shift.

Example:

If multiple breaks are allowed and an employee works a 12-hour Shift, the system deducts another break once the defined threshold is reached again.
