Overtime calculation

The Overtime calculation settings define how the system calculates overtime and additional compensation (evening, night, weekend and national holiday hours).

To configure:

  1. Go to Settings from the bottom-left corner.

  2. Click on Overtime calculation from the left-hand menu.

  3. Adjust the settings.

  4. Click Save changes.

Overtime calculation basis

Is overtime calculated on monthly or daily basis

Choose how overtime is calculated.

Monthly basis

  • Enter Normal hours of a working day.

  • Select the Period of overtime calculation in months.

  • Select the Starting month of overtime calculation of a period.

Overtime is calculated at the end of each selected period.

Daily basis

  • Enter Normal hours of a working day.

Any hours exceeding the daily normal hours are automatically counted as overtime.

The previous working day before a national holiday will be shortened (h)

If applicable, enter how many hours the working day should be shortened before a national holiday.

Working time starts in one month and ends in the next month

If a Shift goes from one month to the other month, you must decide how the hours are calculated.
Choose how the system should assign those hours (for example, whether hours are added to the month in which the Shift started, ended or split between two months)

Overtime multiplier

Enter the additional overtime rate.

Examples:

  • 1.5× pay → enter 0.5

  • 2× pay → enter 1

Evening hours

Turn on Do you wish to take evening hours into account to enable evening tracking.

Then define:

  • Evening hours start and end

  • Evening hours hourly wage multiplier

Example: 1.5× pay → enter 0.5

Night hours

Turn on Do you wish to take night hours into account.

Then define:

  • Night hours start and end

  • Night hours hourly wage multiplier

Example: 1.25× pay → enter 0.25

Weekend hours

Turn on Do you wish to take weekend hours into account.

Then enter:

  • Weekend hours hourly wage multiplier

Example: 2× pay → enter 1


National holiday hours

National holidays are detected automatically.

Set the multipliers for:

  • National holiday hours hourly wage multiplier

  • National holiday night hours hourly wage multiplier

  • National holiday evening hours hourly wage multiplier

Enter only the additional part of the rate.

Example: 2× pay → enter 1
