Using the fingerprint reader, it is possible to register working hours for the object in two different ways:

  1. Manually, i.e. using the object's PIN code

  2. Automatically, i.e. by linking the device to the object in the software

In order for the employee to be able to register his working time manually using the object's PIN code, this option must first be turned on in the software. For this select:

  • Under the gear wheel - ''General Settings'' - ''Biometric terminal'' tab

  • Under the first question "Is manual object code entry enabled in biometric time clock?" answer Yes and save the changes

If these changes are made, the employee must do the following:

  1. Start registering your working time on the device either with your face, finger or smart card

  2. The device displays two different options "Clock In" or "Project Code"

3. The employee must select "Project code" and then in the new window that opens "Enter project code" enter the Pin code of the desired object, which can be found in the "Objects" list in the software:

4. When the project code is entered, the device shows the green text "Working time started" and the name of the employee + the name of the object.

It makes sense to link the device to an object if each object has a different reader and you want to make an object-based calculation. After linking, the linked object is automatically added to each working time from the device on the time sheet. To pair a device with an object:

  • Open "Setup" - "Objects" in the software

  • Select the object to which you want to bind the device and open it from the "Edit" button

  • In the window that opens, select the "Bound devices" module

  • Drag the required device to the right side of the "Bound devices" devices column

  • Save the changes

  • When recording work time from a device, it is automatically linked to the object to which the device is bound to
